Senior section
The senior section is looking forward to the season ahead.
For the 1st XV last season was a challenging one, but one that will hold them in good stead in
the future. We are all excited to see what they can achieve in the Arnold Clark National League
Division 2.
For the 2nd XV last season resulted in a very commendable finish in the Arnold Clark Caledonia Region League Division 1. They are motivated to go again and try and finish even higher.
For another season we remain the highest ranked Northeast team in Scotland, which is
something that we do not take for granted. We are thoroughly excited about what both
teams can do and are looking forward to the whole Gordonian community joining us on the
next stage of our journey.
A great culture has formed at the club based on: player talent, committed coaches,
committee members and volunteers, all our members and sponsors and the excellent facilities.
Junior section
The new rugby season is almost here, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone
back to Gordonian Pelicans!
Our newly formed U13 Youth team will be the first to get started, with training beginning
on Wednesday 19 August at Countesswells. We’re excited to see the group come together
and look forward to an enjoyable and successful season ahead with fixtures against local
teams but also a trip up to Orkney to look forward to in November.
Our Pre-School to P7 groups will then return on Sunday 24 August, as we get the club
buzzing again after the summer break.
This season promises plenty to look forward to, with the club once again competing in
the P6/P7 local league, while our new U13 Youth team will take on the challenge of
competing in the Caledonian League. Along with this we will have loads of festivals to take
part in starting at Madras in early September.
A huge thank you to all our players, coaches, volunteers and parents for your continued
support. We can’t wait to get back to Countesswells, see familiar faces and welcome some
new ones to the Gordonian Pelicans family. Here’s to another fantastic season of rugby,
friendship and fun!

Family Touch will continue on a Sunday morning 10.00 to 11.00 on the Astro (water based) at Countesswells.
On Thursday evenings 19.00 to 20.00 Community touch is also open for all on the Astro (sand based) at Countesswells.
Memberships
This season Club membership will run from 29th August 2026 to 31st Aug 2027. If you have not received an email about this year’s subs, please email gordonians.patrons@gmail.com.

As you have seen on our social media we are delighted to support the charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in the coming and future seasons. It is a male suicide prevention charity and we hope to do our small part in raising awareness and funds.
